So are all the pilot lines suspect, or is it more of a problem with the oven pilot lines?

Hi Jenn, I have seen more problems on the oven pilot because it seems that the grease runs down the tube and collects on the bottom loop under the stove in a big drip and stays there for many years. I don't mean to be getting everyone up in arms, but there is a concern here.
Good to know.

Thank goodness you're back, Stoveman!!!!
I think I'm OK on the safety valve side of the equation, but the pilot is a whole different matter. Enlarging the hole sounds tricky, as does securing the pilot in its new site. I have a vision of rockwool difficulties. I'm curious, though, why the pilot has to be changed out at all. Is there a reason that this existing pilot can't be replumbed and set up with a thermocouple? I know that it must be necessary, but I'm not sure I understand why.
I'm hanging on every scrap of info you can give me.
As for the national refuge project, I hope you kick some proverbial political ***! So few politicians place any value on the only world we've got to live in. It's all about $$ chasing. Wrong forum, but it's good to know that we have good folks in our midst.

Back again. I've added a couple of photos that Board Member Lori G. allowed me to use. These are photos of a Chambers factory installed Oven Safety System. This long rambling thread is intended to replicate the original Chambers Factory setup as close a possible.

Above is the view from the front, looking in through the Service Door. Notice that the Input Oven Gas Tube comes from the top of the Service Cabinet. You will run this 3/8" aluminium tube from the output of the Thermostat, across the top of the Service Cabinet, down the right outside wall and turn left into the Input of the 1720. Also notice that the 1720 is mounted to the floor of the Service Cabinet using the Bracket that is described in a previous post. Notice that the Pilot Tube and Thermocouple pass through the slot on the left, heading under the stove and up into the floor of the Oven, just like the original Pilot Tube did. Also, The Chambers folks mounted the oven burner input Mixer Pin at a different angle (bottom left in photo). It is not neseccary for us to change this bracket, because we can bend the 3/8" oven tube to fit.

Will this setup also work on my model B? (1941 i believe)
MY pilot doesn't look anything like the ones in the pictures.. though admittedly it has been awhile since i looked.
I suppose that means i'll just have to drill a hole. No big deal.
Yes, This will be ideal for the B or BZ models too.
